Most entrepreneurs don’t start their business overnight, and they definitely don’t start it in a vacuum. They think, dream, plan, network, seek guidance and learn from others before setting out to achieve their dreams. I am luck enough to have connected with some incredible people along my journey toward starting my own business. I hope to be one of these mentors, these guiding lights along the way for others as these creative professionals have done for me. To say thank you but also to help new entrepreneurs meet and engage with those who have helped me start McKeating Solutions I’ll be starting a Featured Blogs Series. I’ll Interview them here on the blog but also list them in an entrepreneurial resource center on the site.
In this Featured Blogs Series I am reaching out to bloggers and entrepreneurs that have not only started their own businesses, that have not only helped me get started in one way, shape or form, but who are excited and passionate about helping you get your start as well. This Featured Blogs Series is exciting and fun but beyond that, I sincerely hope that it helps you take another step forward on your journey, toward achieving your dreams.
Before we start this Featured Blogs Series, I want to give you a message…No matter what anyone else thinks or says, your dreams are important. Your dreams matter. Someone might have trouble seeing or understanding your dream, but that’s because that dream belongs to you. It is a part of you and it is not for them to understand. For you to deny these dreams is for you to deny a piece of yourself. If you ignore or give up on your dreams happiness will evade you, because this is what you are called to do.
My message is simply this:
Never give up on your dreams. Work hard and fight like hell to make them happen.
Making your dreams come true will not happen over night. Sometimes it won’t be easy. But hard work is a hell of a lot better than a life chasing happiness but never fully grasping it, is it not? I often find that when the work is hard, that when it is done, it is the most rewarding. Now when I look back on the hard work, the tough times in my life. I don’t wish that I hadn’t done it, that I hadn’t gone through it. Even if it was grueling, that hard work paid off in some way – it was another step on an incredible journey. (Note: it took a lot of yoga and listening to wise people, and reading books by gurus and sages to come to this point). I am the person that I am today as a result of all of my experiences, thoughts, and emotions.
Work hard, have fun and go make your dreams happen.
